Summertime

Well, it's been a couple months since my last post! We've been so busy with life that I haven't had much time or motivation to keep up here but alas I thought I'd take a minute for a quick update on our family:

Grace finished preschool and has already completed her first week of camp.  She has two VBS camps coming-up and one city camp in August.  She's been in swim lessons in Newport Beach for over a month now and is learning backstroke and breast stroke.  I am so amazed at her ability to swim on her OWN now.  She has been spending lots of time with her friends this summer.  Her world is her friends right now :)

Camryn is our adventurous lovebug.  She adores playing around the house with Grace and her best friend Riley down the street.  She follows all the big kids around and loves swimming, dancing and just playing.

Mike and I had a great weekend getaway to Santa Barbara to kick-off our summer.   Mike is on the golf league at his work and is doing some work on our house this summer.  I'm trying to stay in shape with my twice weekly spin classes and runs.  Keeping up with the family, our house and everything else in the mix keeps this momma busy :)

My goal at this point is to do a weekly post of our summer adventures.

We just spent 5 sun-filled days in Rancho Mirage with Nana and Papa.  It was Cami's first trip to Palm Springs and Grace's third.  We stayed in a condo in Rancho Las Palmas and had access to the resort for Splashtopia, golfing, the spa, etc. The girls loved Splashtopia and the pool.  Daddy and Papa golfed.  We spent lots of time at the pool and even squeezed-in a little spa relaxation time.  We had a few nice dinners out; one of which was Papa's b-day dinner at Don Diego's (a place I frequented as a kid when my parents had a place in the desert); and we barbequed the other evenings.  The girls were in heaven swimming, running around the golf course, going for morning walks to Starbucks and just playing and hanging out with the four of us adults.  It was a fabulous vacation....great for two active and busy little ones :)
