Kindergarten!!!

Today is Grace's first day of Kindergarten.  She has been so excited to start school for the last few weeks. Her teacher is Mrs. Yancey and Grace is going to have a fabulous, fun-filled year.  I am soooooooo happy for her, but I am sad she's growing up so quickly.  Good luck Grace.....see you at 2:30!!

Newport Harbor Duffy Boat Ride

Yesterday afternoon we toured the bay & had a special dinner with Nani & Papa to wrap-up a wonderful summer!  Both girls love driving the boat and they saw 5 huge sea lions.

A Montana Wedding!!

My little brother tied-the-knot this weekend with a true Montana/country-style wedding.  He married the love of his life, Jolene, and they were both incredibly happy and beautiful.  Mike and I were SOOOO glad to be there, and Grandma and Grandpa were SOOOO kind to watch the girls for the whole weekend.  It was a whirlwind trip for sure and I really enjoyed getting to know Jolene's big family and spending time with family friends.  It was also fun to get a little crazy without the kiddos there :)  My parents did a fabulous job hosting the weekend festivities at their home. We love you Jeff & Jolene!!!

Summer Craziness

This summer has absolutely flown by me!  Grace starts school in 1 1/2 weeks and I CANNOT believe it's almost over because it feels like we just wrapped-up TK.  She did three VBS camps with friends, one community camp, and had regular gymnastics & swim lessons.  We've had some great beach & pool days with friends.  So now it's school supplies, uniforms and backpacks on my brain.  I'm so excited for Grace to start Kindergarten but I will miss her every day from 8:30 to 2:30.  Cami won't know what to do with herself since Grace is her #1 entertainer at home.   She is going to love starting preschool in September.   

 



Wine Party & VBS

We went to a super fun wine tasting party at my friend Kendra's house last weekend.  She is an amazing event planner so the party was just beautiful.  All couples brought two bottles of red ($10-$18) and we got to taste and score each wine (13 or so total).  The winner was Dreaming Tree, a Dave Matthews Band collaboration, which I had never heard of, but I just picked up a bottle at Target because it was really good - and I don't normally drink much  red.

Grace started VBS at Mariner's Church this week.  She is going with two friends and really enjoys it.  She has a lot of fun activities planned for this summer so I'm hoping not to hear "I'm bored" too much! Lol!

Montana Vacation

We had a great vacation to Papa's River Home in Montana earlier this month. The girls were amazing little travelers & adored all the time with Nani & Papa.  Highlights were definitely hanging out with Uncle Jeff & Jolene, playing on the massive property, caving with Grace, exploring the back country and Crow Creek, camp fire & smores, firing-up the new pizza oven, snake hunting, seeing all the awesome wildlife (including a moose in the backyard), playing in Bozeman and Jeff's lab Maddy. Thanks to my parents for a great week of memory making fun.  Mike & I look forward to going back in August!
