Wine Party & VBS

We went to a super fun wine tasting party at my friend Kendra's house last weekend.  She is an amazing event planner so the party was just beautiful.  All couples brought two bottles of red ($10-$18) and we got to taste and score each wine (13 or so total).  The winner was Dreaming Tree, a Dave Matthews Band collaboration, which I had never heard of, but I just picked up a bottle at Target because it was really good - and I don't normally drink much  red.

Grace started VBS at Mariner's Church this week.  She is going with two friends and really enjoys it.  She has a lot of fun activities planned for this summer so I'm hoping not to hear "I'm bored" too much! Lol!

Montana Vacation

We had a great vacation to Papa's River Home in Montana earlier this month. The girls were amazing little travelers & adored all the time with Nani & Papa.  Highlights were definitely hanging out with Uncle Jeff & Jolene, playing on the massive property, caving with Grace, exploring the back country and Crow Creek, camp fire & smores, firing-up the new pizza oven, snake hunting, seeing all the awesome wildlife (including a moose in the backyard), playing in Bozeman and Jeff's lab Maddy. Thanks to my parents for a great week of memory making fun.  Mike & I look forward to going back in August!

Daddy's Girls

Circus

Last night we went to the circus at the Spectrum with Grandma, Ash & Steph.  It was Cami's first circus....so a special occasion.  She kept pointing to the cotton candy like "hey, when can I get that?!"  The girls got their faces painted and loved their light sabers.  Cami told me last night her favorite part was when the man got shot out of the cannon at the end.  That WAS pretty cool :)

Biscuit's Birthday

One of the recent end-of-year activities in G's class is for each student to "read" a book to the class. Grace chose Biscuit's Birthday from her bookshelf.  I use the word "read" lightly because the kids are just learning to read so they can choose to describe the pictures but I have to say, of the three kids I saw, most of them are super close to reading if not already there..in preschool!  Go Grace!!

Lunching at American Girl

Last week my mom took Grace, Cami & me up to the Grove in LA to go to the American girl store.  It's pretty much a little girl's dream wrapped-up in a box!  The girls got new outfits for their dolls (Grace's Julie and Cami's Bitty Baby - with no name) and Grace got Julie's ears pierced.  The beauty salon was just too cute.  Then we had a fun lunch that was served in many courses like a tea party.  Both girls were in heaven.  My mom got on Extra that evening since she was standing right behind Mario Lopez during a segment taping.  We also saw Maria Menunous, Bruce and Brody Jenner & Sharon Osbourne.  I had more fun watching the paparazzi wait around for shots.  They were cracking me up....what a life to chase after celebrities all day for 2 seconds to take a shot.
