Hippity Hoppin Easter's on it's way...

We kicked-off the Easter festivities with decorating eggs with Aunt Ashley today! Lots of fun stuff coming up...starting Friday with a big Easter egg hunt on Cantora Street.

Little Grace is Going to be a BIG Sister!

Baby #2 will be the latest addition to our family in the beginning of October - right before Grace's 3rd birthday. We are so excited to have another little baby and to give Grace the sweet gift of a baby sister or brother. She is already very aware that there's a baby in mommy's tummy, loves to give it kisses, and insists "it's a sister, not a brother" just in case you were wondering :) We shall see in a few weeks and just pray for a healthy baby. Luckily I am no longer feeling sick anymore now that the 1st trimester is almost over. It was a rough couple of months because we had the flu and I was soooo nauseous and tired.

Irvine Reg. Park with Pathways Mom's Group

Today we met our friends from church at the Irvine Regional Park. A few of us preschool moms formed a group a few months ago and we enjoy planning regular outings with our little kids. We also get together for the occasional mom's night out, which is always a nice break. We went to the zoo today, played with some animals, had a picnic lunch, and played a little "duck duck goose". Grace and I rode the train and took a pony ride afterwards since she doesn't generally nap until the late afternoon now. It was a perfect day to enjoy the park - sunny but not too hot.

Many of you know Grace has disliked the mall carousels for quite a while now. We think it might be because I took her on the Snow White ride at Disneyland (it's actually pretty scary!) when she was really young and traumatized her because she cried halfway through the ride. And although she will go on most kiddie rides now at Disneyland, she still does not like carousels....so you can imagine how I was shocked today when she asked for a horsey ride. Turns out she was lovin' it and was not scared at all. It was so cool to see her face beam while riding the pony and I hope she will enjoy riding horses with me when she gets older because I LOVE horses. Here are some snapshots:

It's so much fun playing in the sun -- especially with the neighbor kids and cool water toys. I'm so excited for the lazy pool days and beach adventures awaiting us this summer. There is always so much fun stuff to do during the warm weather seasons. Grace is loving playing with her friends these days. She can do it for hours...and I can sit back and relax in the shade a little bit :)

Daddy's Birthday

Although Mike doesn't 'officially' turn 32 until Friday, we had a family birthday party for him last night at Nana & Papa's house. Grace was in high-heaven having all her family there to entertain and laugh with. She would literally run from one person to the other and had the biggest smile on her face all night long. It's so cute to see how much she loves everyone and it was fun to relax, kick back and enjoy a great evening and yummy meal. Mike got mostly golf-related gifts this year -- which he will never complain about. On his real birthday he will be on a plane from LAX to Istanbul! We have a fun week ahead before he leaves for his big trip :)
